The Hong Kong Airport app, developed in partnership with Move, has won the International Data Corporation award for best mobile app in the travel and transportation category. The app, which is available for both Android and iOS, provides users with a quick and easy way to find flight and travel information. The International Data Corporation award is an annual prize given to the best mobile apps in various categories. The award is one of the most prestigious in the world of mobile technology and is seen as a recognition of an app's quality and innovation.
The app allows users to search and view flights, check in and out for flights and access real-time information on delays and cancellations. The app also includes airport maps and information about stores, restaurants and other airport amenities.
According to the International Data Corporation award judges, the app was notable for its user-friendliness and rich functionality. "The Hong Kong Airport app offers users a really easy way to find and manage flight information, and it is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design and usability."
The app was developed by Move in collaboration with Hong Kong Airport Authority. Since going live in 2018, the app has been downloaded more than 10 million times and has received numerous positive reviews from users. Robert Kosse, CEO of Move said, "Winning this major international award is a culmination of the work we have been doing together for over 4 years now. Just like winning the Customer care award recently. We are enormously proud of this recognition and the fine cooperation with Hong Kong Airport".
