Smart Pay & SmartPin

Smart Pay is a product from Rabobank that allows business owners to manage everything around payments for their store or webshop. From cash and debit card payments to configuring the payment options for your webshop. They manage all these things in the Smart Pay dashboard (which, by the way, we also developed for Rabobank and deserves its own case). Those who use Rabo Smart Pay can choose from several products for receiving payments. And SmartPin is one of them.

The most mobile pin solution

In 2015, Rabobank, in partnership with Move, introduced the first version of SmartPin. Whereas traditional POS systems are often cumbersome, expensive and not mobile, this solution offers the flexibility to accept payments on the go, so as a business owner you never miss a sale again. Initially, the app could only be used in conjunction with a bluetooth pin terminal. Today, thanks to Tap to Pay (which you can read more about below), business owners can accept contactless debit payments anywhere.

In addition to processing PIN payments, SmartPin has a host of other features:

Tap to Pay for iPhone: a new standard

One of the newest additions to the app is "Tap to Pay. This innovative feature allows payments to be accepted by simply holding a contactless card or an NFC-equipped smartphone or smartwatch against one's phone. This eliminates the need for a Rabo Pinbox or other physical device, making the payment experience even faster and easier. Ideal for business owners who are often on the road or selling their products on location!

SmartPin for tablets

SmartPin is used by many business owners as a full-fledged POS system on tablets. In supermarkets, for example, business owners put all their products into the system, making it easy to process payments and keep track of inventory. The ability to link product scanners and receipt printers via Bluetooth makes the system complete and efficient for daily use.
