Recently Move Zwolle moved into city icon The City Post. Last Thursday we celebrated the official opening of our new office.
The power of just doing
Our guests gathered in the main hall of The City Post with champagne, snacks and music. After the welcome speech by our CEO Robert Kosse, Mayor Peter Snijders took the floor. In his speech, he looked back on 2012. The year in which Move opened its first office in the old town hall of Gramsbergen and Snijders was mayor of the municipality of Hardenberg, which includes Gramsbergen.
Characteristic of the Hardenberg region was and is, according to Snijders, 'the power of just doing'. He called Move the striking example of this. A beautiful compliment that we really appreciate. In the meantime both Move and Mayor Snijders have left Hardenberg for Zwolle. A region that focuses on Granting, Growing and Thinking Outside the Box. But according to Snijders Zwolle is also a region that, thanks in part to the 'Hanzelijn', is drawing ever closer to our capital city and also has an awful lot in common with Amsterdam. A vision that we fully agree with.
'Pick up, tackle and just do it. Move is really the shining example of that.'
Popping start
After the welcome address, the attendees moved to our office on the fifth floor of The City Post. There, a carpet lay out to our main entrance, which was plastered with a large paper. For the official, ceremonial part, we asked the mayor to beat down the paper door. We counted down together, after which he performed this task very skillfully. The slamming of the door and the golden confetti rain that followed made for a popping start together. Of an evening of great food, drinks, dancing and live music. But also of a fantastic new chapter in Move's history.
New location, familiar atmosphere
We look back on a successful afternoon and evening that we celebrated entirely in Move style. Many guests commented afterwards that there is a nice and familiar atmosphere in our newly completed office. And we are only too happy to agree.
